What to pack for your summer holiday

With the summer now in full swing, and reports suggesting that the UK could enjoy up to two more months of hot weather, many of us are setting off on our holidays. Whether you’re staying close to home and spending a weekend in the countryside, or you’re jetting off on a far-flung adventure, we’ve rounded up everything you need to pack for the perfect summer holiday.
The essentials
There are so many things that you need to think about when packing for a trip, so we thought we would get the travel essentials out of the way first. Start by finding a large travel bag, and remember to include your passport, travel insurance documents, hotel confirmation bookings and boarding passes. Pack your currency or credit card, a good pair of sunglasses, and some comfortable socks to wear on the plane or in the car. Finish off your travel kit with some makeup, like a trusty 100ml bottle of moisturiser and some lip balm to keep your skin hydrated.
Your favourite technology
Let’s face it: travelling without technology is no fun. As well as packing your phone and tablet, be sure to bring travel adaptors so you can charge in your hotel room, an extension lead, so you can do your hair, play music and charge your devices at the same time, and a camera for those all-important holiday shots. Oh, and a good pair of wireless headphones wouldn’t go amiss.
A new tee from Ultra Tee
For a day on the beach or an afternoon in the city exploring museums and tourist attractions, you just can't beat a good old t-shirt. Compatible with any trousers or shorts, a tee from Ultra Tee will keep you looking summery and relaxed, and because they’re made from organic cotton, they’re comfortable in any temperature. Our summer stock is limited, so be sure to buy quickly!
Beach accessories
If you're going to be spending a lot of your holiday on the beach, then make sure you pack the right accessories so that you can have a good time. Pack one bikini for every day or two you're planning on spending by the pool or at the beach, and a cover-up to wear when you want to grab some lunch or go for a walk. You should also take a pair of flip-flops or sliders, and a beach bag for carrying drinks, snacks and sun cream. Oh, and don't forget to bring a beach towel, and an inflatable if you want to spend some time in the sea! Good Housekeeping has rounded up some of the best fun inflatables for adults, including an inflatable rose bottle and a rainbow float.
Lots of sun cream
It goes without saying - the most important thing to do with your suitcase, so do not forget it. Not only does it help you to save money, but there's no guarantee that you'll be able to find a high-quality product that's right for you. This Nivea guide to sun creams should help you find the right cream.
One pair of jeans
It's always hard to predict the weather when you're going overboard. If you've got a small baggage allowance, be sure to wear your jeans on the plane to avoid adding unnecessary weight to your luggage, and add some comfortable leggings to your hand-luggage so that you can relax on a long-haul flight.
Some basic medications
When you're away from home relaxing, your body can let down its defenses. Make sure that you are prepared for certain medications, such as your prescriptions, anti-malaria medications, over-the-counter medications such as antihistamines and antidiarrheals, antacids, laxatives, decongestants and travel sickness tablets. Some insect repellent, hand wipes, eye drops, plasters and first-aid supplies will also come in useful if you're traveling overseas.
Wherever you're going to this summer, have a fantastic time. If you manage to snap a picture of yourself wearing an Ultra Tee, be sure to tweet us @ UltraTeeBrand or tag us on Instagram !
